For Children & Teens
Join The Art of Cake Studio for our 10th year of baking and decorating camps! Learn to bake and decorate with Pastry Chef and Owner, Tammy Dunwoody. Tammy has been featured on Cupcake Wars and The Martha Stewart Show, worked with The Radio City Rockettes, The Bob Hope Family, Bill Griffeth of CNBC and Ellis Island. She has also been featured in (201) Bride and (201) Magazine, and most recently, Edible Jersey Magazine. As the first cake decorating and baking camp for kids in Bergen County, she has taught over 2000 children the art of cake decorating and baking.
We believe that the campers should have fun and learn from their culinary experience. Children are grouped together by age, with friends or siblings, and work with partners. Younger campers do not work with our older campers unless requested. Our low 1:4 instructor to camper ratio ensures the attention and instruction to reach these goals. Children do not need prior experience with cake decorating or baking to enjoy this camp.
Lunch: Lunch can be brought in or purchased (must be prepaid at time of registration) by our full day campers. Please bring a peanut/tree nut/seed free lunch and drink if you are bringing lunch. Lunch items are chosen and ordered daily from a local deli or pizzeria.

Day 5 includes learning to use an airbrush, stencils & projector to create amazing designs that can be used on future fondant cakes and cupcakes and royal icing cookies.
Afternoon Baking: Each participant works with their own mixer to create assorted pastry and fillings, cake & mini pastry. Day 5 is a cookie and bar swap day. Participants each make a different type of cookie or bar from one of our recipes or a family favorite. All of the items are divided and taken home to share.
